October 28, 2011. We have walked 10-12 miles along the beach the last two days. MIkki wanted some sand dollars, so we have about three hundred for her. The Walmart bag which contained them threatened to split from the sheer weight of the shells. Today's photo selection is limited because I shot most of the good shots yesterday.

Another Day on Another Beach, Jekyll Island, GA
October 27, 2011. More character trees, sea, sea oats horseshoe crabs, sand, palm trees, Spanish moss, sunsets and the pure beauty of nature. It is nice to have time to drink it all in. And, to think, it has only taken 65 years.

Another Routine Day at the Ocean, Myrtle Beach, SC
October 25, 2011. We traveled about 200 miles to Myrtle Beach, where we are comfortable in a state park on one mile of unpopulated Atlantic beach. The camp sites are among tall trees and the beach is about two hundred yards from the campgrounds. This is a lovely, quiet place, but I am not sure it would be as lovely and certainly not as quiet during peak season.

Hatteras; Light House, Kite Boarding and Shelling
October 24, 2011. For BJ, who loves lighthouses, this is the famous Cape Hatteras beacon. We saw this young deer walking on the grounds. We then discovered a group of about twenty kite boarders who were skipping over the waves and taking to the air. We are in southern North Carolina tonight at New Bern.
