May 17, 2017. Out and About.

May 17, 2017.  Out and About.  Annie had a plan today.  She wanted to check out a market the other side of Sister Bay, about 10 miles from here.  She also wanted to check out the Soup Nazi in Ephraim. Actually, it is a soup cafe recommended by Mr. and Mrs. Racine yesterday.  I needed two 2x3x16 inch bolts for repair of the puffy chairs.  And, we talked about a burger at Wilson's Ice Cream Shop.  We wandered all over the northern shore of the peninsula looking for the market before finding it.  The Soup Nazi was closed as was Wilson's.  I did find my bolts at Ace Hardware.

The top pictures are from our outing.  The next couple are Annie's handiwork while I was repairing the chairs.  The remainder are from our afternoon bike ride.  Oh, yes, and our stop at Not Licked Yet ice cream shop.  NLY sells frozen custard and has a well decorated playground.  There is a large, ancient tree which bends over Fish Creek.  Around the base of the tree are fairies and gnomes. They look like they were designed to be there.  The tree roots create the perfect atmosphere for the gnome village.

Oh, and I successfully repaired the chairs.  The original bolts were broken, probably because someone heavy sat in them.  Must be all that ice cream.

Good night.

I don't know how you will sleep tonight with those gnomes so close by! 😱

If you are eating so much ice cream that you break your chairs, it is time to come home!
