January 8, 2015. I Think T-Harvey Is Fixed.

January 8, 2015.  I Think T-Harvey Is Fixed.   Today was the third day at the RV repair shop.  But, with a new control board and thermostat, Arlen tells me that T-Harvey is fixed.  More accurately, the heat pump in T-Harvey is fixed.  I don't mean to equivocate here, it is just that I won't know for sure until the temperature gets above 40 degrees.  That won't happen until tomorrow afternoon.  If I say nothing more about the heat pump, you will know it is fixed.  If it isn't fixed, the next step is to replace the entire unit.  Dometic may not be as willing to do that as it has been to piecemeal the repairs.  We will see.

We stopped by BB&B on the way to the shop.  It seems there is a small section of the wood floor in T-Harvey that has the audacity to show itself.  Annie doesn't like that.  That's why we have a table pad, a table cover and a table cloth on our dining room table.  If she were a surgeon, she would quadruple glove.  So, we stopped at BB&B to pick up a runner so we can completely protect the floor.

We have some sons who enjoy biking on the open road.  We passed these club bikers this afternoon.  I was driving about 40 MPH and I was slow-passing them.  I'd guess they were traveling more than 30 MPH when we went by.

We got back to the campground in time to take a 40-minute walk before dark.  The walk took us along alligator marsh.  Annie wasn't wild about the name of the trail.  But, we saw no alligators, largely because we were walking so fast our eyes wouldn't focus on the canal.  Aside from the danger of being eaten alive by a gator, I did find another couple of road icons for you.

My, oh my! How would you compare this hiccup to your experiences on the Trip across America?

Did the dealership lounge have snacks?
