October 11, 2017. A Day to Soak Up the Foliage. Yesterday, I mentioned the river which flows below our balcony. We don't have a clear view from the balcony due to the foliage. However, there are steps - 112 of them - which lead from the main lobby of the building to the river. We walked down there this morning and the pictures above resulted.
Before lunch, we drove around the area. There aren't many people here now. They will arrive when the snow flies. There are several tourist attractions here, the kind you might see at Branson, but on a much smaller scale.
I included a trail map of the Loon Mountain ski area. It is larger than Ski Granby and considerably smaller than Winter Park. Another major difference is that Colorado is about 700 miles from home. Lincoln, NH, is more than twice that distance.
One more day here, then on to Vermont, one of our favorite places. Goodnight.
