January 20, 2016. Doing Nothing.
January 20, 2016. Doing Nothing. Finally, we had a nice day in Alabama. The morning was overcast, but the clouds burned off about noon. After noon, the sun came out and the temperature rose to the mid-sixties. So, we did nothing.
We had talked about driving to Pensacola Beach today, but decided to hang around here. Pensacola is where we spent several nights on our honeymoon. The beaches are covered with white sand which reflect the sun. We got terrible sunburns there in 1968. I don't think that would have happened today, but there is no point in chancing it, right.
We did take a walk in the mid-afternoon. A couple of the objects shown above have been in earlier blogs. However, someone has changed the accessories from Christmas to Mardi Gras. And, one of the cloud pictures depics what appears to be an angel in the center. The Angel is preceded by the letter "J". There is something spiritual about that.
Tomorrow is National Hugging Day. It is also National Squirrel Appreciation Day. If you want to combine the two, you can find a squirrel and hug it. I don't know why they don't call it National Hug A Squirrel Day and eliminate the excess verbiage.
