January 4, 2020. Biking and Beaching. It has been a slow couple of days. We've had rain and overcast skies. We did get out today when the sun returned.
Our condominium complex is located on Pensacola Beach across the toll bridge from Gulf Breeze which is across the bay from Pensacola. Just across Fort Pickens Road is the Gulf of Mexico. Fort Pickens was one of only four southern forts to remain in Union hands during the Civil War. It was also home briefly to Geronimo, the notorious Apache Native American after his surrender.
We have no plans for tomorrow other than to go to the grocery store. We will likely return to the beach. There is no beach at home, you know.
