May 18, 2016. Around Weborg Point. First, last night's unfinished business: Annie thought the face in the stump was Winnie the Pooh. CT thought it looked like a face, either Pac-Man or a baby with a huge overbite. That isn't very close. BJ thought it looked like a bear. I guess Pooh is a bear, so she gets the major award. I am not sure there is a wrong answer in the world of art. I still don't see anything.
The first picture tonight shows the first step to solving one of my shrew problems. Two traps are set, but no success yet. I suspect he may have gone out the same way he came in. He probably couldn't stand all the construction noise. The solution to the second may not be as simple although Annie has gotten past most of her shrillness. She says she still has doubts about my courage in the face of imminent danger.
Aside from the trip to the hardware store, today was pretty quiet. We dumped the storage tanks, refilled the fresh water tank and moved to a different campsite in Weborg. We are next to the one we occupied the last five days. We will be here until Saturday, then move on.
Have I told you about the flying insects here? The look like very small mosquitoes, but they don't bite. We looked at Google and the best name we can come up with is non-biting midge flies. They do swarm, sometimes so thick you can grab ten or more with one hand. Annie doesn't like them. I am not crazy about them either. However, they don't bother me to the extent that I am willing to wear a hairnet over my face. Actually, it is a mosquito net that Angie gave us for the Alaska trip in 2011. But, it looks like a hairnet, don't you think?
Only Annie could wear a hairnet over her face and look classy doing it.
Goodnight.

What beautiful scenery! Oh, to live a day in the life of the Farkleys.
Oh yes, I am so glad you are using the mosquito net I got you! Don't get the Zinka virus!
